Toronto's Mayoral Election: June 26th

Get Out the Vote for Climate Justice.

Climate change is one of the greatest threats we've ever faced. As young people, we can't wait any longer on the sidelines. We've got to bring political and systemic change. We've got to vote.

Why is this election important?
Cities are hotspots of greenhouse gas emissions. Toronto is the largest city in Canada, and if we took serious action on climate change, the ripple effects could be massive.

This mayoral election could decide the fate of climate action in Toronto. The city's climate action plan, 'TransformTO's Net Zero Strategy', is thorough, aimed at both reducing emissions and advancing social equity across all sectors - housing, transport, waste, energy, etc.

It would be incredible if it were fully funded and implemented-  however, under the current government, funding is nowhere near what it needs to be.  Action must be taken by the next mayor to combat the climate crisis, the housing crisis, and our numerous social justice crises at once. It's up to us to help vote that mayor in on June 26th.

If you're too young to vote, make sure anyone you know over 18 does vote.
